In the past twelve (12) months, we have collected the following categories of Personal Information about users of our Site and Services: Name, Surname, e-mail address, telephone number.

In general, we do not collect Sensitive Personal Data, which includes Social Security Number, driver’s license, state identification card, or passport number, racial or ethnic origin, union membership, or information related to a consumer’s citizenship or immigration status. If you are a job applicant, we may collect certain categories of Sensitive Personal Data if you provide it to us voluntarily, for example by including it in your resume. 

If you choose not to provide personal data

Where we need to collect personal data by law or pursuant to a contract with you and you do not provide the requested data, we may not be able to perform the contract we are trying to enter into or have entered into with you. If that is the case, we will inform you at that time and we reserve the right to cancel a service you have contracted with us.

 

Usage or Technical Data

We may automatically collect certain information through the use of cookies or other similar tracking technologies when you access our Site and use our Services.  Usage Data does not directly reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device, internet traffic and navigation information, such as your IP address, the domain names and URL addresses you link from or to, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you access the Site and use our Services, and other technical information. The information we collect includes:

Where the legal basis for processing your Personal Information is our legitimate interests, those interests are to use Personal Information to conduct and develop our business activities and interact with users and with others in order to support our reputation and increase our revenues, while limiting the use of Personal Information to those purposes that strictly support the conduct and development of our business within the reasonable expectation of the individuals concerned.

Limitation or Change of Purpose

Disclosure of Your Personal Data

Where We Store Your Personal Data

CIFA North America, Inc. is based in the United States.  However, our parent company and affiliates are located in the European Union and other areas of the world. The information that we collect from you (including Personal Data) may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside of the country in which you initial provided or we collected it. It may also be processed by our service providers who may operate outside your country, for one of our suppliers or one of our business partners. By submitting your information, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take reasonably necessary steps to ensure that your information is treated securely and in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.

How Long Do We Retain Your Personal Data

We keep your Personal Data for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected it. For example, we may retain your Personal Data as long as your account remains open in the Customer Relationship Management system.  For certain types of information, we may need to retain it for a longer period of time to meet applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may also retain your Personal Data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe that there is a prospect of litigation concerning our relationship.

If we reasonably believe that we may need your Personal Data to enforce or defend our legal rights, we may retain your Personal Data for a longer period of time.  

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes by other means, as well as applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other obligations.

Keeping Your Information Safe 

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security and integrity of any Personal Data we process. In addition, we limit access to your Personal Data to those who have a business need to know. They will only process your Personal Data on our instructions and are subject to confidentiality obligations. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no information transmission over the Internet or electronic storage technology can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly access, steal, or modify your information.

  • Right to know – you have the right to know whether we are processing your Personal Information;
  • Right to access – you have the right to access the Personal Information we have collected about you;
  • Right to correct – you may ask us to correct any inaccuracies in your Personal Information;
  • Right to request deletion of personal data – you may ask us to delete Personal Information that you provided to us or that we obtained about you from a third-party source;
  • Right to data portability – you may request a copy of your Personal Information that we collected about you in a readily usable format;
  • Right to Opt-out of the sale of your Personal Information, or using your Personal Information for targeted advertising or profiling in furtherance of solely automated decisions that has significant legal effects concerning you; 
  • Right to Non-discrimination – as a business, we shall not use your Personal Information to unlawfully discriminate against you simply because you have exercised your privacy rights.; and
  • Right to obtain a list of third parties to whom we disclosed your personal data.

In addition, California’s “Shine the Light” law permits you to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Data to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Exercising your rights

You may exercise your privacy rights twice in a calendar year.  To do so, you may submit a verifiable request to us by either (1) calling toll-free number 877-835-3280‬; (2) emailing privacy@cifa.com and use “Data Privacy Rights” in the subject line; or (3) sending us a written request to 4330 Conifer Ct., Union Grove, WI 53182 Attn: Data Privacy Rights. 

In order for us to act upon your request, we will need to verify your identity to a reasonable degree of certainty.  We may therefore ask you to provide three points of Personal Data which you have previously provided to us that we can use to match against our records to verify your identity. We may also require you to submit a signed declaration under penalty of perjury stating you are the individual whose Personal Data is subject to the request.  We may not be able to respond your request if you decline to provide the verifying details or if any of the details are incorrect.

In general and unless otherwise stated in the above sections describing your rights, we will respond to your request within forty-five (45) days.  If necessary, we may extend the time to respond by a further forty-five (45) days.  If for any reason we decide to decline to respond to your request, we will notify you and provide our explanation and any appeal process that may be available to you.  

 

Children’s Information

Our Site and Services are not directed to or targeted towards those who are under 18 years of age. We do not intentionally allow users under the age of 18 to access our Site or use our Services, and we do not have actual knowledge that we have collected the Personal Data of anyone under the age of 16.  If we learn that we a user under 16 has submitted Personal Data to us, or if we learn that the Personal Data is from one who is under 16, we will take steps to delete that Personal Data as soon as possible.
